2009: Beaches, Jamaica
My kids were 3 and 5 when we took our first big trip together. At Beaches, we danced together in the sand, ate breakfast on the balcony, and fed the seagulls. I realized the powerful connection a family can form when they travel together.
2011: Walt Disney World
Our first visit to Walt Disney World was not only magical, it was life-changing. Walt Disney World quickly became a second home for us, the place where we retreat to enjoy time with each other.
Our first visit to Disneyland was pure magic! It was the longest flight our kids had ever taken, and they adjusted well. Walking where Walt Disney walked was inspiring! And we loved the convenience of theme parks, resorts, and shopping just steps from each other.
2017: Universal Orlando
As Harry Potter fans, we loved tasting butterbeer, letting our wands choose us, escaping from Gringott's, and riding Hogwart's Express! We were delighted to discover other excellent rides like Spider-Man and Hulk. A great experience for tweens and teens.
2017: Disney Dream
On our first family cruise, my youngest son stood on our stateroom balcony and proclaimed 'We go to bed in one country and wake up in a completely different place! This is amazing!' And our family has been hooked on cruising ever since.
2018: Royal Caribbean
We rang in the New Year on our first family sailing with Royal Caribbean! The boys were surprisingly excited for formal night, matching their ties to their socks and choosing their jacket colors. We made enduring memories with friends like swimming with dolphins in Cozumel and exploring Mexico together.
2018: Aulani, Oahu
We celebrated Christmas during our first visit to Disney's Aulani in Hawaii! It was breathtakingly beautiful! We heard carols in by the pool slide and evening stories by the fire. The Hawaiian holiday decor was festive, but it was no match for the natural beauty that formed the backdrop for this family adventure.
2019: Disneyland Paris
Our favorite part of Disneyland Paris was our classic French meal at Chez Remy after our fun ride on Ratatouille. The theming at Disneyland Paris was impressive, but the way cast members were able to switch from French, Spanish, and English at the drop of a hat made it feel even more like home.
We discovered history, explored architecture, tasted classic cuisines, and destroyed at least three languages during our life-changing Mediterranean cruise. We experienced six different cities, and our favorite was Rome! The ancient history in the city was breath-taking and our time in the Vatican was extremely moving.
